Dr. Raymond Birge

Raymond Birge Laboratory

The Birge laboratory conducts basic science focussed on the eradication of cancer. Cancer arises in a multi-step process in which normal cells acquire mutations through the activation of oncogenes and the loss of tumor suppressive mechanisms. The Birge laboratory is interested in examining the signaling pathways in cancer cells to understand the complex molecular events leading to tumor growth, invasion, metastasis, and immune evasion.

Dr. Antonina Mitrofanova

Antonina Mitrofanova laboratory

The Mitrofanova laboratory develops and clinically adopts computational algorithms to elucidate genomic, transcriptomic, and epigenomic mechanisms of disease progresison and therapeutic response in cancer and other diseases, and identifies optimal treatment strategies for patients based on their molecular profiles and clinical characteristics. Our goal is to build a multi-level panel of markers to predict patients' risk of treatment resistance and provide personalized advice on their optimal therapeutic course.
